Underworld details

Reports on the net that leading vampires Viktor and Kraven will return for the latest chapter in the Underworld saga.

Underworld 3: Rise of the Lycans centers on the rise of the lycans, who served as the vampire's slaves before their uprising.

Bill Nighy and Shane Brolly will be reprising their roles as Viktor and Kraven respectively in the Dark Ages-set tale. Kate Beckinsale will not be appearing.

Tim Burton's Future

Sci-Fi Wire recently posted an interview with Tim Burton talking about his new two picture deal with Disney. part one of the deal sees a feature length update to his 1984 short film Frankenweenie (see below), using updated 3D technology. The second film will be a new film adaptation of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland stories, said that he will stay true to the stories' essence.

"The stories are like drugs for children, you know?" Burton said. "It's like, 'Whoa, man.' The imagery, they've never quite nailed making it compelling as a full story. So I think it's an interesting challenge to direct."

Filming on Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is set to begin in early 2008. Burton will work from a script by Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Disney first animated the story in 1951 as their 13th feature animated film.
